Location: Rio Rancho, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (scheduling varies), 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $21 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
Monitor and record patient vital signs and report changes promptly
Support safe mobility, transfers, and proper body mechanics
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
Practice infection prevention and maintain a clean, safe environment
Respect patient dignity and offer emotional support to residents and families

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
Completion of an approved CNA training program
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Comfortable working overnight shifts (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM)
Ability to perform physical aspects of care, including lifting and transfers
Previous experience in long-term care or similar healthcare setting preferred
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

High school diploma or GED required
Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Basic patient care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations
Infection control and safety protocols
Accurate documentation and basic charting skills
Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
Familiarity with electronic health record systems is a plus
