Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care to residents including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
- Monitor residents’ comfort and safety and report changes to the nursing team promptly
- Assist with meal setup and mealtime support, honoring dietary needs and preferences
- Support activities of daily living and encourage resident independence whenever possible
- Document care accurately and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents and families
Qualifications
- GNA certification (Class: GNA) required
- Current CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Experience working with geriatric or long-term care populations is a plus
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
- Dependable, compassionate, and able to work overnight shifts (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Education
- High school diploma or GED and completion of a GNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic clinical skills: vital signs, mobility assistance, bathing and feeding support
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with residents and families
- Understanding of infection control and safe patient handling techniques
- Attention to detail for accurate documentation and handoff reporting
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
