Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Observe and report changes in residents' condition to nursing staff promptly
- Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with the care team
- Support safe transfers and fall-prevention practices to protect residents
- Help create a comfortable, respectful environment that promotes dignity and independence
Qualifications
- GNA classification listed (Class: GNA) — current Geriatric Nursing Assistant certification or equivalent
- Ability to work 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM evening shifts on a per diem basis
- Demonstrated compassion and strong communication skills with residents and team members
- Willingness to complete facility-required onboarding, health screening, and background checks
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- GNA certification (Class: GNA) required or preferred as listed
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic knowledge of geriatric care principles and resident safety
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and safe patient handling
- Good observational skills and clear documentation habits
- Team-oriented attitude and ability to follow care plans and direction from nursing staff
- Basic infection control awareness and adherence to facility protocols
