Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) with dignity and respect
Provide compassionate support during meal times and help with feeding as needed
Monitor residents’ condition and promptly report any changes to nursing staff
Document care, observations, and interventions accurately and timely
Support mobility and safe transfers to reduce fall risk and promote independence
Work collaboratively with the care team to follow individualized care plans
Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents

Qualifications

GNA certification or completion of an approved nursing assistant program (required)
Current state-required nursing assistant registry status for Maryland
CPR/BLS certification preferred or the willingness to obtain upon hire
Clear background check and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
Compassionate bedside manner and strong communication skills

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Completion of a certified Nursing Assistant or GNA program

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic geriatric care and common age-related conditions
Comfortable assisting with ADLs and mobility support
Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
Familiarity with basic infection control practices and safe patient handling
Strong observational skills and clear, professional communication
Team-oriented approach and a positive attitude toward resident care
