Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, focusing on dignity and respect
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
- Monitor and record vital signs and changes in condition accurately and promptly
- Document care provided and communicate observations to the nursing team
- Support mealtime assistance and ensure dietary needs and preferences are followed
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
- Collaborate with nurses and other care staff to implement individualized care plans
- Build positive relationships with residents and their families to foster trust
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Previous experience working with older adults or in long-term care is a plus
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
- Good communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Reliable transportation to Bowie, MD for per diem shifts
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- GNA certification or equivalent required
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and mobility support for geriatric residents
- Familiarity with infection control practices and safety procedures
- Basic knowledge of vital sign measurement and documentation
- Strong observation skills to notice and report changes in condition
- Compassionate interpersonal skills for resident-centered care
- Ability to follow care plans and take direction from licensed nursing staff
