Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, compassionate personal care to geriatric residents
• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and report changes in residents physical or emotional condition to nursing staff
• Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
• Support mealtime assistance and document intake as required
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain resident confidentiality

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification or equivalent credential
• Ability to work evenings and accept per diem shifts
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Excellent communication skills and a caring bedside manner
• Comfortable assisting with mobility and transfers; must be able to follow safe-lift procedures
• Pass a background check and any facility-required screenings

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of geriatric care principles and common age-related health needs
• Skill in assisting with activities of daily living and meal assistance
• Familiarity with infection control and safety best practices
• Basic charting and documentation skills; ability to follow care plans
• Strong observational skills and the ability to communicate changes to nursing staff
• Team-player attitude and a calm, patient-centered approach
