Certified Nursing Assistant

Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (schedule varies), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening, day shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $23 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents and patients
Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
Take and record vital signs and observe changes in condition
Document care accurately and communicate observations to nursing staff
Support mobility and safe transfers while promoting independence
Follow infection control policies and maintain a safe, clean environment
Collaborate with the care team to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — Pennsylvania preferred
Completion of a state-approved CNA program
Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting is a plus
Strong communication skills and a patient, caring attitude
Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings

Education

High school diploma or GED
Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in basic patient care and ADLs
Comfortable taking and recording vital signs accurately
Knowledge of infection control and safety practices
Ability to document clearly in paper or electronic charts
Good time management and teamwork skills
Compassionate patient interaction and strong observational skills
