Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days vary based on facility needs), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Evening shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $24 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct care to residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
Support mealtimes and assist with safe feeding when needed
Maintain accurate documentation of resident care and communicate clearly during handoffs
Follow infection control standards and promote a clean, safe environment
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings preferred
Valid basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and a patient-centered attitude
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of activities of daily living and safe patient handling techniques
Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
Familiarity with infection prevention practices and PPE use
Good communication and teamwork skills with residents and clinical staff
Basic documentation skills and attention to detail
