Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs, intake and output, and other clinical observations
- Assist nursing team with safe transfers, mobility and positioning
- Maintain accurate resident documentation and communicate changes to the care team
- Follow infection control protocols and contribute to a clean, safe environment
- Support resident dignity and independence through respectful, person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass required background check and drug screening
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
- Reliable transportation to Gettysburg Center and professional presentation
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; current CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in personal care, ambulation and safe patient handling
- Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs accurately
- Knowledge of infection control and standard precautions
- Able to follow care plans and report changes to nursing staff
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate bedside manner
