Location: Albuquerque, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per Diem (as needed), 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM DAY

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to patients, including assistance with activities of daily living
Assist nursing staff with vital signs, patient observations, and timely reporting of changes
Support safe patient transfers and mobility, following proper body mechanics
Help maintain a clean, comfortable environment for patients and participate in infection control practices
Document care and communicate clearly with the care team to ensure continuity
Engage patients with dignity and respect, fostering a positive patient experience

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in New Mexico
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
Strong communication skills and comfort working as part of a multidisciplinary team
Compassionate approach to patient care and a professional bedside manner

Education

High school diploma or GED required; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Familiarity with ADLs (bathing, dressing, feeding) and mobility assistance
Basic vital signs measurement and reporting
Comfortable with electronic or paper charting and clear documentation
Understanding of infection prevention and patient safety protocols
Ability to follow care plans and accept direction from licensed nursing staff
