Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform nuclear medicine procedures including bone scans, gastric emptying studies, GFR, Meckel’s scans, renal scans, lymphoscintigraphy injections, lung perfusion and GI bleed studies
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment such as GE 850, GE 830 and Brivo with attention to safety and quality
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care — explain procedures, ensure comfort, and monitor patients throughout studies
• Accurately document exams and patient data in the EMR and maintain regulatory/compliance records
• Participate in weekday evening, overnight and weekend on-call rotations to ensure continuous patient coverage
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists and nursing staff to optimize workflow and diagnostic quality

Qualifications

• ARRT - NM certification (required)
• Board certified in Nuclear Medicine (required)
• Minimum 1 year of relevant Nuclear Medicine experience
• Basic scanning skills and familiarity with common nuclear medicine procedures
• Comfort with on-call responsibilities including evenings, overnights and weekends
• Friendly, patient-oriented approach with strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on Nuclear Medicine techniques and protocols
• Experience with GE 850 and GE 830 gamma cameras and Brivo systems
• Proficiency with EMR documentation and imaging workflows
• Procedure knowledge: Bone Scan, Gastric Emptying, GFR, Meckel’s Scan, Renal Scan, Lymphoscintigraphy Injection, Lung Perfusion, GI Bleed
• Radiation safety principles and patient monitoring
• Efficient time management and the ability to work independently in a small unit
