Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT and X-ray imaging studies while maintaining patient comfort and safety
• Follow imaging protocols and adapt to clinical needs to produce diagnostic-quality images
• Operate and troubleshoot CT and radiography equipment, ensuring proper calibration and function
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and clinical staff to prioritize patient care and timely imaging
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in PACS and other systems
• Adhere to radiation safety practices and infection control procedures at all times
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families, explaining procedures and addressing concerns
• Participate in shift handoffs and quality improvement initiatives to enhance department performance

Qualifications

• Current state Radiologic Technologist license (required)
• CT certification or ARRT (CT) preferred; ARRT (R) or equivalent registry for X-ray recommended
• Minimum clinical experience performing CT and general radiography (amount flexible; new grads with strong clinical rotations may be considered)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working day and evening shifts and collaborating in a small team environment
• Strong communication skills and patient-centered approach

Education

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology, Radiography certificate, or equivalent
• ARRT registry or ARRT-eligible candidates considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with CT protocols and cross-sectional anatomy
• Skilled in conventional radiography techniques and positioning
• Familiarity with PACS, EMR documentation, and imaging workflow
• Understanding of radiation safety and dose optimization principles
• Ability to prioritize cases and work efficiently in a busy department
• Good interpersonal skills for patient care and teamwork
