Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate GE CT scanners to perform high-quality diagnostic CT exams for adolescents, adults and geriatrics
• Prepare and administer contrast media safely, following radiation safety and isolation precautions
• Perform venipuncture and start peripheral IVs when needed to support imaging procedures
• Produce advanced post-processing including 3D rendering and multiplanar reconstructions for clinical interpretation
• Collaborate closely with emergency, ICU and trauma teams to deliver timely imaging in a Level III trauma setting
• Chart accurately in Epic and maintain thorough patient documentation
• Assist with special procedures including vascular CTA, CT arthrography, myelography, biopsies and aspirations
• Maintain patient-centered care, prioritize safety, and contribute to a respectful interdisciplinary environment

Qualifications

• ARRT CT certification (preferred/expected credential for practice)
• Oregon OBMI registration required prior to start
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of direct patient care within the last year
• Prior travel experience is required for this role
• Experience working in a Level III trauma hospital (minimum) and familiarity with trauma imaging workflows
• Proven experience with GE CT scanners and PACS
• Comfort with Epic charting (hardstop requirement)
• Ability to perform venipuncture and start peripheral IVs

Knowledge & Skills

• Computed Tomography (CT) imaging and protocols
• GE CT scanner operation and troubleshooting
• PACS image retrieval, post-processing and distribution
• 3D rendering, maximum intensity projection and volume rendering
• Multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) and region of interest (ROI) measurements
• Contrast media preparation and safe administration
• Radiation safety principles and infection isolation/PPE procedures
• Advanced procedural skills: vascular CTA, CT arthrography, myelography, biopsies and aspirations
• Experience with trauma head and spine imaging, chest/abdomen/pelvis CT, and cardiac CT studies
