Shift Type: Night, 12-hour shifts (typically 3 x 12-hour nights per week; 36 hours scheduled). Exact nights/days vary by assignment; unit operates as night telemetry (example 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM for a typical 12-hour night shift)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry continuously to identify and escalate arrhythmias and acute changes
- Perform thorough patient assessments and deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care across adult to geriatric populations
- Document assessments, rhythm interpretations, interventions and patient responses accurately in Epic twice per shift
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
- Provide patient- and family-centered education related to cardiac conditions and plan of care
- Maintain unit standards for infection control, safety, and professional conduct in a high-acuity telemetry setting
Qualifications
- Active New York RN license (required)
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience (required)
- MUST have Epic experience (required)
- Strong telemetry / cardiac rhythm interpretation experience and comfort documenting rhythms twice per shift
- Experience on Med-Tele or Cardiac/Telemetry units (required)
- ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) current and uploaded with profile (required)
- Own vehicle / driver (required)
- Travel nursing experience and neuro/stroke experience highly preferred
- Reliable attendance history with no recent call-out concerns
- Ability to complete required onboarding training (Welle or CPI) and 14-panel drug screen per facility policy
Education
- Active New York RN license (required). Nursing degree or diploma (RN) preferred

- Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Epic charting and electronic documentation
- Patient assessment and clinical decision-making for adult and geriatric populations
- Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families and team members
- Time management and prioritization on a busy telemetry unit
- Ability to follow department expectations for rhythm measurement and documentation
