Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs and resident responses accurately and promptly
- Assist the nursing team with safe transfers, ambulation, and mobility support
- Maintain a clean, safe environment while following infection control practices
- Document care thoroughly in the medical record and communicate changes to the care team
- Support resident dignity and independence through respectful, person-centered care
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) credential (NH; Vermont credentials may be applicable for VT/NH roles)
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Demonstrated ability to perform ADLs and basic clinical tasks safely
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Previous long-term care or assisted living experience a plus but not strictly required
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant/LNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on patient care and ADL assistance
- Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
- Infection prevention and safe transfer techniques
- Accurate charting and clear communication with the care team
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to build rapport with residents
