Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care including ADLs, mobility assistance, and observation
• Accurately record patient status and report changes to the nursing team
• Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting while preserving patient dignity
• Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect patients and yourself
• Follow care plans, infection control protocols, and facility policies consistently
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver seamless care

Qualifications

• Current LNA certification (Licensed Nursing Assistant) — NH or VT eligibility preferred
• Demonstrated patient care experience in long-term care or acute settings is a plus
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work per-diem night shifts

Education

• Completion of state-approved nursing assistant training program
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care procedures and ADLs
• Familiarity with infection control and safety best practices
• Comfortable charting and documenting observations clearly
• Strong interpersonal skills—compassionate, patient-centered approach
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Basic vital signs measurement and reporting skills
