Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care in the cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology environment
- Prepare patients and maintain sterile technique for diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Monitor hemodynamic status, administer medications, and respond to changes in clinical condition
- Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth procedural flow
- Document assessments, interventions, and procedural details accurately and timely
- Educate patients and families about procedures, post-procedure care, and discharge instructions
- Advocate for patient safety and quality, adhering to CAP and hospital testing requirements
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission
- Healthcare Provider BLS from a recognized provider required
- AHA ACLS certification required
- Verification of high school diploma or equivalent required per CAP requirements
- Prefer 1 year of experience or training in a Cath Lab/Angio hospital setting
Education
- Current Oregon RN licensure (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent (required due to CAP moderate complexity testing rules)
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology workflows
- Competence with diagnostic imaging modalities and patient monitoring
- Strong procedural asepsis and sterile technique skills
- Ability to interpret hemodynamic data and respond to acute changes
- Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced procedural settings
- Comfortable with moderate complexity testing and documentation standards
