Shift Type: Day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (12-hour day shifts); on-call nights and weekends as scheduled (rotating on-call coverage)

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, patient-centered perioperative nursing care throughout the surgical experience
- Prepare operating rooms, set up sterile fields, and ensure equipment readiness
- Assist surgeons and the surgical team with procedures and instrument handling
- Continuously monitor patient status intraoperatively and respond to changes quickly
- Perform thorough counts, document care accurately, and ensure regulatory compliance
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
- Serve as a reliable member of the on-call rotation for nights and weekends when needed
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and a positive OR culture
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Colorado or a valid compact nursing license
- Minimum 2 years of perioperative/Operating Room nursing experience
- Current BLS required; ACLS and CNOR preferred when available
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and participate in night/weekend on-call coverage
- Must meet facility onboarding requirements (immunizations, background checks, etc.)
- Excellent clinical judgment, teamwork, and communication skills
Education
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- BSN preferred when possible
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong perioperative knowledge including sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
- Proficiency in patient assessment and intraoperative monitoring
- Familiarity with common OR workflows and infection prevention practices
- Comfort using electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
- Ability to prioritize, stay calm under pressure, and support the surgical team
