Shift Type: Night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; rotating schedule including every third weekend with 12 hours of call per 4-week schedule (12-hour night shifts)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on labor and delivery nursing care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients
- Manage vaginal deliveries and support C-section perioperative care alongside the team
- Perform continuous fetal monitoring and interpret tracings using GE fetal monitors
- Deliver newborn care and stabilization immediately post-delivery
- Coordinate patient care with OB providers, nursery staff, and interdisciplinary team members
- Document care accurately in Meditech EMR and ensure smooth handoffs during shift change
- Advocate for patients and support families through labor, delivery, and early postpartum education
Qualifications
- Active RN license (required)
- Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery experience (required)
- Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN fetal monitoring certification (required)
- Experience with LDRP settings and high birth volume units preferred
- Comfort and competence with GE fetal monitors and Meditech EMR
- Ability to manage 1:1 labor assignments and higher ratios on postpartum or nursery as needed
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Labor and delivery nursing best practices
- Fetal monitoring interpretation (AWHONN standards)
- Vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and newborn stabilization
- Postpartum care and patient education
- Meditech EMR documentation and workflow
- Experience with GE fetal monitoring systems
- Ability to function in fast-paced, high-volume maternal infant units
