Roles & Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the Radiology program to ensure high-quality patient imaging services
• Track and ensure radiology studies are properly submitted and reported in a timely manner
• Provide PACS training and support to staff, improving efficiency and image workflow
• Coordinate radiology equipment maintenance and inspections to meet regulatory standards
• Work closely with clinic administrators and medical directors to drive continuous quality improvements
• Create and maintain radiology policies and procedures that keep the department compliant and safe
• Manage the radiation protection monitoring program for team safety
• Collaborate with Finance to maintain the radiology chargemaster and identify opportunities to improve revenue capture
• Ensure all QA/QC activities are performed and documented accurately
• Supervise radiology staff, perform evaluations, and ensure competency through training and mentoring

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology
• Registered Radiological Technologist (ARRT) — required
• Registered Mammographer — preferred
• Registered Ultrasound Technologist — preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Clinical competency to be achieved within 3 months of hire and renewed every 3 years
• Manager competency to be achieved within 3 months of hire and renewed every 3 years
• Minimum 5 years experience in Radiology Management and supervision
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Radiology Technologist
• PACS training required; CT and MRI technologist experience preferred

Education

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of federal, state and accreditation regulations related to radiology services
• Familiarity with MQSA requirements and digitized imaging workflows
• Experience with PACS and radiology transcription processes
• Proven ability to develop policies and procedures and maintain regulatory compliance
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for clear provider and team interaction
• Comfort with multiple computer systems and radiology documentation
• Ability to supervise and build strong, collaborative teams
• Skilled at multi-tasking, organizing medical information, and creating manuals and reports
• Experience with lead apron testing and radiation protection monitoring
• Ability to work with Finance on chargemaster maintenance and revenue capture opportunities
