Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry continuously to keep patients safe
• Provide skilled medication administration, IV therapy, and phlebotomy with accuracy
• Recognize and manage dysrhythmias and activate rapid response or code teams when needed
• Deliver patient education that empowers patients and families about their care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners like respiratory, PT, pharmacy and radiology to optimize outcomes
• Maintain isolation precautions and appropriate PPE use to protect patients and staff
• Document care thoroughly in EPIC to ensure continuity and clear communication
• Float to units of equal or lower acuity as needed while maintaining high-quality care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (or compact privilege) valid for practice in Ohio
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience, with telemetry or MS/Tele experience preferred
• BLS (BCLS) required
• IV certification and demonstrated IV start competency required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required per facility guideline
• Comfort with floating between units and caring for adult patients with varied medical diagnoses
• Ability to work nights and every other weekend as scheduled
