Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality general x-ray exams across ED and inpatient settings with attention to patient comfort and positioning
• Operate C-arms during OR procedures for ortho and spine cases, ensuring accurate imaging and sterile technique
• Execute portable radiography and fluoroscopy studies efficiently while maintaining radiation safety practices
• Use Epic and Fuji PACS to document studies, communicate results, and manage imaging workflow
• Support Level 1 trauma care with calm, decisive imaging during high-acuity situations
• Collaborate closely with radiologists, PAs, and the care team to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain and inspect imaging equipment, report issues, and follow department protocols for safety and quality

Qualifications

• Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R) required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of radiologic technologist experience, with Level 1 trauma exposure preferred
• Comfortable and experienced with C-arm operation and OR imaging/procedures
• Proficiency with Epic and Fuji PACS strongly preferred
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays as scheduled
• Valid driver license and ability to meet a 60-mile radius requirement for credential submission and orientation
• Agency must provide radiation badge prior to assignment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong skills in General X-Ray, fluoroscopy, and portable radiography
• C-arm operation for intraoperative imaging, with attention to sterile technique
• Familiarity with GE equipment, Carestream and Shimadzu portables, and GE/Fuji general rad rooms
• Comfortable navigating Epic and Fuji PACS for charting and image management
• Ability to manage 20-30 studies per day while maintaining quality and safety
• Excellent patient communication, positioning, and trauma response skills
