Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT imaging in the Emergency Department, including CT Angio and PE protocols that help clinicians make fast, lifesaving decisions
• Operate and optimize Siemens and GE CT scanners for abdominal, head, stroke, and triple rule-out studies
• Accurately enter and maintain exam documentation in Meditech EMR and route images through AGFA PACS and GE Centricity RIS
• Collaborate closely with ED staff and radiologists to prioritize urgent studies and ensure patient safety
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and maintain equipment cleanliness and readiness
• Provide compassionate patient care — explaining procedures and ensuring comfort during often stressful emergency imaging

Qualifications

• ARRT (CT) certification required
• Active Texas Medical Board licensure required
• Minimum 1 year of CT imaging experience (ED or acute care experience preferred)
• Demonstrated experience with CT angiography and CT protocols for PE and stroke
• Comfortable working in a busy Emergency Department environment and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with Siemens and GE CT systems and experience using PACS, RIS, and Meditech EMR preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• CT imaging fundamentals and CT Angio protocol expertise
• Emergency Department CT procedures and rapid triage imaging
• Proficient with PACS (AGFA) and RIS (GE Centricity) workflows
• Experience navigating Meditech electronic medical records
• Hands-on experience with Siemens and GE CT scanners
• Strong patient communication, triage prioritization, and teamwork skills
