Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT exams (Abdomen/Pelvis, Head) with attention to patient comfort and safety
• Execute stroke protocols and CT angiography studies accurately and efficiently to support rapid decision-making
• Operate and troubleshoot Siemens and GE CT scanners and work with AGFA/GE PACS and RIS systems
• Collaborate with ED and radiology teams to prioritize emergent imaging needs and ensure timely results
• Maintain clear, professional documentation in Meditech and other EMR/PACS systems
• Adhere to radiation safety, departmental policies, and Texas Medical Board regulations at all times

Qualifications

• ARRT (CT) certification — required
• Valid Texas licensure (Texas Medical Board) — required
• Minimum 1 year of CT technologist experience (ED/acute care experience preferred)
• Comfortable working weekend night shifts in a busy ED environment
• Experience with CT angiography, PE protocols, head CT and stroke imaging preferred
• Experience with Siemens and GE CT systems and PACS/RIS workflows preferred

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent training

Knowledge & Skills

• General CT imaging skills and protocol selection
• CT Abdomen/Pelvis and Head CT expertise
• Stroke protocol execution and rapid imaging triage
• CT Angiography (CTA) and PE exam experience
• Familiarity with PACS (AGFA), Meditech EMR and GE Centricity RIS
• Comfort operating Siemens and GE CT scanners in a fast-paced ED
