Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shift, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM (overnight); every other weekend required. Specific weekly days vary by unit/assignment.
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor telemetry and cardiac rhythms vigilantly to catch changes early
- Deliver progressive care/step-down nursing for medical-surgical and step-down patients
- Manage short-stay and quick-turnover patients with efficient, high-quality care
- Document assessments and interventions accurately in Cerner
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and adjust care plans
- Triage and escalate clinical changes to providers promptly and appropriately
- Maintain patient safety and comfort while upholding unit policies and standards
- Support and mentor colleagues when floating to other units to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (state requirements apply)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience (telemetry/progressive care experience required/preferred)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Demonstrated telemetry competency
- Familiarity with Cerner or similar EMR systems
- Willingness to float to other units and work every other weekend
- Positive, patient-focused attitude and strong teamwork skills
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/ASN/BSN)

- Telemetry competency and rhythm interpretation
- Progressive care/step-down clinical knowledge
- Solid medical-surgical nursing fundamentals
- Proficient clinical documentation in Cerner
- Strong patient assessment and monitoring skills
- Effective communication, teamwork, and time management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, quick-turnover unit
