Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT imaging procedures with accuracy and attention to detail
• Operate and troubleshoot CT equipment while following safety protocols
• Position and prepare patients, ensuring comfort and clear communication throughout the exam
• Collaborate with radiologists and the care team to deliver timely diagnostic images
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper image archiving
• Adhere to radiation safety standards and infection control practices
• Participate in equipment quality assurance checks and report any issues promptly

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of CT or radiology technologist experience
• Current ARRT certification in radiography or CT, or registry-eligible (verify facility requirements)
• State licensure as required for Florida technologists
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or ability to obtain prior to start
• Strong patient care skills and ability to work independently on overnight shifts

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or CT program; AS or certificate preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid working knowledge of CT equipment, protocols and cross-sectional anatomy
• Familiarity with PACS/RIS and digital imaging workflows
• Understanding of radiation safety principles and dose optimization
• Good troubleshooting skills for common equipment and imaging issues
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills, especially for anxious or acute patients
