Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the nursing team to deliver compassionate, safe, high-quality care
• Oversee clinical operations and ensure regulatory and accreditation standards are met
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and operational flow
• Coach and mentor nursing staff through performance feedback and professional development
• Manage staffing, scheduling and resource allocation to maintain continuity of care
• Implement quality improvement initiatives and monitor clinical performance metrics
• Serve as a visible leader on the unit, responding to clinical escalations and supporting bedside staff

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in West Virginia or eligibility to obtain licensure promptly
• Proven nursing leadership experience with responsibility for staff supervision and unit operations
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, infection control and patient safety practices
• Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills to support staff and families
• Basic Life Support certification required; Advanced certifications (ACLS, PCCN) preferred

Education

• BSN preferred; ADN with significant leadership experience will be considered
• Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field preferred for leadership roles

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical judgment and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Staff development and coaching skills to build high-performing teams
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation best practices
• Budget awareness, staffing models and resource management
• Quality improvement methodologies and performance metric interpretation
