Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret telemetry tracings and act quickly to ensure patient safety
• Provide expert wound care, including advanced assessment and dressing changes
• Deliver high-quality med/surg nursing for geriatric and swing-bed patients
• Perform minor procedures on unit according to protocol and training
• Document thoroughly and accurately in Cerner to support continuity of care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create patient-centered plans
• Provide exceptional, concierge-level patient experience that meets community expectations

Qualifications

• Active RN license (eligible to work in North Carolina required)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with geriatric or inpatient rehab (swing bed) experience required
• BLS certification required; ACLS and CPI preferred
• Proven wound care skills and comfort performing minor procedures
• Experience with Cerner or similar electronic documentation systems
• Ability to work overnight/night shifts and maintain excellent clinical judgment under variable staffing

Education

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Advanced wound assessment and dressing selection
• Strong med/surg assessment and clinical decision-making
• Proficient documentation practices in Cerner
• Effective patient and family communication, especially in an affluent/concierge setting
• Time management and ability to work with minimal unit support when techs are unavailable
