Shift Type: Night shift, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, rotating nights with every-other-weekend coverage
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-acuity trauma and surgical ICU care with compassion and clinical excellence
- Manage advanced devices and therapies including CRRT, EVD, Camino ICP monitors, arterial and central lines
- Perform and assist with procedures such as chest tube management and percutaneous tracheostomy care
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Cerner EMR
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists and the multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes
- Advocate for patients and support family communication during critical moments
- Participate in unit initiatives, maintain required certifications, and contribute to a positive team culture
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse credential (RN) — ready to practice in the assignment
- Minimum 2+ years of ICU/critical care nursing experience (trauma and/or surgical ICU strongly preferred)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Demonstrated experience with CRRT, EVD, arterial/CVC lines and high-acuity monitoring
- Comfortable with Cerner EMR documentation
- TNCC or ATCN certifications are a plus and will make your application stand out
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment skills in high-acuity settings
- Hands-on proficiency with CRRT and management of EVD and intracranial pressure monitoring
- Experience with arterial lines, central lines and wound VAC management
- Familiarity with trauma and surgical ICU workflows and patient ratios (typically 1:2, sometimes 1:3)
- Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment
- Ability to mentor peers and adapt to floating across related ICU units
