Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents and patients
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Monitor patient status, report changes, and escalate concerns promptly
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
• Support admissions, discharges, and smooth transitions of care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow facility policies
• Educate patients and families with patience and clarity to promote recovery and safety
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and quality standards at all times

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — New Mexico licensure expected for local candidates
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Comfortable administering medications and providing direct patient care
• Ability to pass required background checks, drug screens, and onboarding requirements
• Previous long-term care or acute care experience is a plus but motivated new-to-LPN clinicians are welcome to apply

Education

• LPN diploma or certificate from an accredited program
• High school diploma or GED required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and observation skills
• Medication administration and documentation accuracy
• Basic wound care and ADL support
• Clear verbal and written communication with patients, families, and teammates
• Comfort with electronic medical records and charting (facility-specific systems)
• Time management and ability to prioritize in a busy clinical environment
