Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and the EP team during procedures such as PFA, pacemaker and ICD implantations, cardioversions, laser lead extractions, and Watchman procedures
• Prepare patients and procedural areas, maintain sterile technique, and ensure all necessary equipment is ready
• Monitor patient hemodynamics and ECG continuously and intervene promptly for patient safety
• Perform or assist with Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) as needed during procedures
• Document procedures, meds, and patient status accurately in Epic and other required systems
• Participate in Trinity specialty-specific competency testing and skills checklists to maintain high standards
• Support pre- and post-procedure patient education and contribute to smooth transitions of care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (license/certificate verification required)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Experience or comfort working in an Electrophysiology (EP) lab with advanced cardiac procedures preferred
• Completion of Trinity skills checklist and specialty-specific competency testing as part of onboarding
• Required health and screening items: COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Fit Test, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, 2-step PPD or IGRA, Varicella, physical/health statement, Trinity 10 panel drug screen, Trinity color vision

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of EP procedures and devices including PFA, pacemakers, ICDs, and lead extraction
• Proficiency with Transesophageal Echocardiography support and intra-procedural monitoring
• Familiarity with Epic for documentation and charting preferred
• Excellent patient assessment, monitoring, and urgent response skills
• Sterile technique, procedural workflow, and instrument/equipment management
• Clear communication and teamwork in high-acuity procedural settings
