Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients
• Continuously monitor and interpret hemodynamic and ventilator data and respond promptly
• Administer medications and IV therapies accurately and safely
• Collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop and execute patient care plans
• Document patient assessments and interventions clearly in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment plans, and discharge needs
• Maintain a safe environment by following infection control and unit protocols

Qualifications

• Active RN license (eligible to practice in Louisiana or obtain state licensure)
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred
• Comfort with critical care equipment and monitoring
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced unit

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and prioritization
• Ventilator management and respiratory care basics
• Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
• Safe IV medication preparation and administration
• Accurate and timely electronic medical record documentation
• Teamwork, communication, and patient/family advocacy
