Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography exams using Hologic 3D and Hologic Affirm BX systems
• Conduct stereotactic biopsies, needle localizations and assist with fine needle aspiration procedures with precision and care
• Provide compassionate patient care and clear explanations to ease patient anxiety during imaging procedures
• Accurately document all exams and findings in Epic and maintain meticulous patient records
• Adhere to isolation precautions and PPE protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, troubleshoot basic issues, and escalate technical problems appropriately
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and interdisciplinary teams to support timely, high-quality care
• Support quality assurance and regulatory compliance efforts, including ARRT and facility requirements

Qualifications

• ARRT (registered technologist) — required
• ARRT Advanced — required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) — required
• CA License (listed in job requirements) — ensure active/appropriate state licensure
• Minimum 1 year of relevant mammography experience
• Proven experience with screening and diagnostic mammograms, stereotactic biopsy, and related procedures
• Comfortable charting in Epic and following facility documentation standards

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on expertise in 3-D mammography and Hologic 3D systems
• Experience with Hologic Affirm BX for biopsy guidance
• Skilled in screening and diagnostic mammography techniques
• Proficient with stereotactic biopsy, needle localizations, and fine needle aspiration support
• Strong infection control practices and use of isolation precautions/PPE
• Excellent patient communication and ability to provide compassionate care
• Familiarity with Epic for imaging documentation and workflow
