Shift Type: Variable 3x12 schedule — either Day (07:00 AM - 07:00 PM) or Night (07:00 PM - 07:00 AM); typically 3 shifts per week (days vary, assigned by facility); may include weekends and observed holidays
Hours per Week: 60
Candidate Pay Rate: $30 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care for long term care residents, assisting with Activities of Daily Living such as bathing, feeding, toileting, and mobility
- Perform vital signs, pulse oximetry, and glucose point-of-care testing accurately and document findings
- Safely transfer and ambulate residents, using proper body mechanics and lift/transfer techniques
- Follow infection control protocols including donning and removing PPE and isolation precautions
- Chart care and changes in condition in Epic promptly and clearly to support the interdisciplinary team
- Report and escalate changes in resident condition to nursing staff in a timely manner
- Support pressure injury prevention, skin care, foot care, and other resident-centered interventions
- Assist with specimen collection and basic monitoring tasks within CNA scope
Qualifications
- Active AK CNA license in hand (no pending licenses accepted)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of relevant long term care or skilled nursing experience
- Previous travel healthcare experience required (first-time travelers not accepted)
- Must not be a local candidate — permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
- Willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs and to work scheduled holidays
- Able to provide valid driver's license and proof of personal auto insurance to use provided vehicle

- Long term care workflows and resident-centered care
- Epic charting and electronic documentation
- Infection control practices and PPE use
- Vital signs, pulse oximetry, and glucose point-of-care testing
- Safe patient transfers and ambulation assistance
- Oxygen tank handling and respiratory observation
- Pressure injury prevention and basic wound care awareness
- Strong communication and reporting skills for change-of-condition
