Shift Type: Rotating schedule (Day shift), 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM; rotating every other weekend, no on-call
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $39 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Safely transfer and transport inpatients between units and for procedures, prioritizing patient dignity and safety
- Operate and maintain transport equipment such as stretchers, beds and wheelchairs
- Document transport activity and patient status accurately using Capacity Management and iMobile device
- Communicate clearly and professionally with bedside nurses, unit charge, and transport techs to coordinate timely moves
- Perform sound clinical assessments during transport and escalate concerns to appropriate clinical staff
- Support efficient bed and flow management to help the unit run smoothly
Qualifications
- Current LPN/LVN license in good standing (required)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience (Med-Surg experience preferred)
- BLS certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association (required)
- Proven ability to lift and transfer patients safely
- Strong communication skills and comfort working in a fast-paced transport environment
- Familiarity with EMR Capacity Management workflows and use of iMobile device is a plus
Education
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Med-Surg fundamentals and patient handling best practices
- Patient transfer techniques and safe lifting methods
- Documentation in EMR systems (Capacity Management) and mobile clinical tools (iMobile)
- Use and basic troubleshooting of transport equipment (Stryker stretchers, Hill-Rom beds, wheelchairs)
- Clear, compassionate patient communication and teamwork skills
- Time management and situational awareness for coordinating multiple transports
