Shift Type: Night, 3x12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (Night). Schedule varies and may include weekends; orientation week is Mon-Fri days followed by five bedside orientation shifts between weeks 2 and 3 before independent practice.
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage telemetry patients proactively, interpreting dysrhythmias and initiating appropriate interventions
- Deliver safe, evidence-based oncology and MedSurg care including chemotherapy administration and monitoring when required
- Provide expert IV therapy, central and peripheral line care, PICC/port management and phlebotomy
- Respond to emergencies and participate on Rapid Response/Code teams as needed
- Implement infection prevention protocols and fall-prevention strategies to keep patients safe
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (pharmacy, PT, RT, social work) to coordinate patient-centered care
- Document thoroughly and accurately in Epic to ensure continuity of care
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatments and post-discharge care
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Ohio (or compact RN with Ohio privileges)
- Minimum 2 years of high-acuity MedSurg Telemetry (or higher) within the last 3 years, with at least 1 year of current specialty experience
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Oncology certifications (OCN, ONS/ONCC) preferred but not required
- Travel nursing experience required
- Proven ability to manage ratios up to 1:4–1:5 on MedSurg Tele and 1:3 in PCU when applicable
- Experience with Epic charting required
- Flu vaccine required per facility policy (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required per facility guideline
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation/management
- IV therapy, starting/maintaining IVs, PICC and port care/management
- Chemotherapy administration and chemotherapy monitoring
- Blood product administration and central line care
- Use of Alaris pumps and GE telemetry monitor systems
- Respiratory support skills: HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, tracheostomy and chest tube familiarity
- Management of endocrine protocols including IV insulin and titration experience
- Strong emergency response skills and familiarity with Rapid Response/Code team processes
- Infection prevention practices and patient falls prevention strategies
- Excellent clinical documentation and patient education skills
