Roles & Responsibilities

• Handle surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment with precision and care during procedures
• Maintain strict sterile technique to ensure patient safety in the operating room
• Anticipate surgeon needs by preparing instruments and supplies ahead of each case
• Assist the perioperative team by preparing the OR and supporting smooth case flow
• Understand common surgical procedures to contribute proactively to positive outcomes
• Communicate clearly with the surgical team to support efficient, high-quality care

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Surgical Technologist Program
• Prior surgical technologist experience in an operating room setting (travel experience preferred; first-time travelers not requested for this role)
• Strong instrument handling skills and demonstrated sterile technique
• Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and assist efficiently during procedures
• Comfort working in a fast-paced perioperative environment and adapting to varied shifts

Education

• Graduated from an accredited Surgical Technologist Program

Knowledge & Skills

• Instrument handling and surgical setup expertise
• Proficient in sterile technique and OR infection control practices
• Familiarity with common surgical procedures and perioperative workflow
• Ability to anticipate surgical team needs and prioritize tasks
• Effective communication and teamwork in the operating room
