Roles & Responsibilities
- Coordinate procurement activities to ensure timely supply availability for health system partners
- Support vendor management and contracting efforts with clear communication and documentation
- Analyze spend and purchasing data to identify opportunities for cost avoidance and process improvement
- Collaborate with clinical and operational stakeholders to align purchasing strategies with patient care needs
- Prepare and maintain accurate reports and records to support compliance and decision-making
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline purchasing workflows and increase efficiency
- Assist with onboarding and training of stakeholders on purchasing policies and tools
Qualifications
- Experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or a related non-clinical healthcare function preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage vendors and internal partners effectively
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting
- Comfort working in a contract travel role and adapting to assignment-specific processes and systems
Education
- Not specified in the posting; relevant degree (for example, Business, Supply Chain, or Healthcare Administration) is often preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of procurement and supply chain fundamentals
- Familiarity with healthcare purchasing practices and compliance considerations
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail for spend analysis and reporting
- Vendor relationship management and negotiation skills
- Experience or comfort learning ERP/procurement systems and internal workflows
