Geriatric Nursing Assistant
Location: Bowie, MD
Shift Type: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (night shift; specific days not provided)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care to residents, supporting dignity and independence
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and toileting
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in condition to the nursing team
- Help with mobility, transfers and fall prevention to keep residents safe
- Document care accurately and timely to maintain clear resident records
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists and family members to support care plans
- Maintain infection control and safety standards for residents and staff
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (required)
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained upon hire
- Demonstrated ability to work night shift with a dependable attendance record
- Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations as required by facility
- Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills and a team-player mindset
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Geriatric Nursing Assistant certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience with daily personal care and ADLs
- Comfortable taking and recording vital signs and observations
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Strong infection control and safety awareness
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to follow care plans and direction from licensed nursing staff
