Shift Type: Rotating nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (night); 12-hour shifts with a minimum of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule

Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care for PCU and burn/critical care patients
- Assess and manage critically ill patients, including ventilator management and occasional CRRT
- Perform thorough, timely documentation using Meditech to ensure continuity of care
- Collaborate with physicians, charge RNs, PCTs and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain safe patient ratios (ICU 2:1; med/surg and PCU 4:1) and prioritize patient safety
- Deliver patient- and family-centered education and support during recovery
- Support unit workflow by assisting with transfers, admissions and occasional floating as needed
Qualifications
- Active RN license (state licensure required for assignment)
- Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience (PCU/ICU or med-surg experience required)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Comfortable with ventilator management and exposure to CRRT is a plus
- Experience with Meditech or similar electronic documentation systems
- Ability to work rotating nights and fulfill minimum weekend requirements
- Professional, team-focused attitude and strong communication skills
Education
- Active RN license required (specific degree not specified)
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical expertise in PCU/critical care and med-surg patient management
- Hands-on skills with ventilators, specialty beds and critical care equipment
- Familiarity with CRRT principles and when to escalate care
- Proficient documentation and electronic charting (Meditech)
- Excellent assessment, triage and prioritization skills
- Effective teamwork, delegation and patient advocacy
