Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage and rapidly assess patients to determine acuity and appropriate care pathways
• Stabilize and manage trauma and emergency patients using evidence-based interventions
• Administer medications and therapies per orders while closely monitoring patient response
• Collaborate with physicians, physician assistants, and the ED team to deliver timely care
• Document assessments, treatments and outcomes clearly and professionally
• Provide patient and family education with empathy and clear communication
• Maintain required certifications and participate in unit-based quality improvement efforts
• Follow hospital policies and ensure patient safety in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Current Vermont RN license or Compact license (must be uploaded with profile)
• Minimum 2+ years of current Emergency Department (ED) experience in a hospital setting (required)
• Active ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA) and TNCC certifications (all must be in hand to be considered)
• One supervisory signed reference from within the last two years (required)
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment
• Permanent address must be included in profile and any requested time off (RTO) submitted at time of application
• Minimum 3 months travel experience preferred
• Bachelor Degree preferred

• Emergency Department nursing and triage expertise
• Trauma nursing and acute patient stabilization
• Proficiency with ACLS, BLS, PALS and TNCC protocols
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
