Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures accurately and safely to produce diagnostic-quality images
- Implement and monitor patient safety protocols, ensuring comfort and proper screening
- Serve as the first-line interface with patients and customers, delivering professional and compassionate care
- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain MRI equipment while following safety guidelines
- Prepare patients for imaging, explain procedures, and document clinical information clearly
- Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and department staff to meet imaging needs and workflow goals
- Adhere to infection control, radiation safety, and facility policies at all times
Qualifications
- ARRT (MRI) certification preferred; equivalent credentials considered
- Montana state licensure in radiologic technology required or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Proven experience performing MRI procedures and following patient safety protocols preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills; comfortable interacting with diverse patients
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts and adapt to schedule changes as needed
Education
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related field preferred
- Completion of an accredited MRI technologist program or equivalent training recommended
Knowledge & Skills
- MRI procedures and protocols
- Patient safety and screening for MRI environments
- Medical imaging fundamentals and anatomy positioning
- Image quality assessment and basic troubleshooting
- Familiarity with PACS and electronic medical record systems
- Team collaboration and clear patient communication
