Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor PCU patients with clinical confidence and compassion
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Interpret telemetry and act promptly on patient status changes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and execute care plans
• Provide clear patient and family education to support recovery
• Document patient care thoroughly in the electronic medical record
• Advocate for patient safety and quality outcomes during every shift

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of Colorado or compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or acute care nursing experience
• BLS required; ACLS and other critical care certifications preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-acuity patients
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable with telemetry monitoring and intermediate critical care practices
• Skilled in medication administration, IV therapy, and patient assessment
• Proficient at clinical documentation and communicating care plans
• Able to prioritize, triage, and respond quickly in fast-paced situations
• Committed to patient safety, infection control, and evidence-based practice
