Shift Type: 4x10 day shifts, 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM (four 10-hour day shifts per week); Day shift with on-call rotation every 5th weekend (call only)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform and assist with advanced endoscopic procedures including EUS, EBUS, ERCP, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy and EGD
- Scrub and circulate during procedures with attention to sterile technique and patient safety
- Monitor conscious sedation and provide airway management before, during and after procedures
- Recover patients from conscious sedation and monitored anesthesia care with compassionate vigilance
- Document thoroughly and accurately in Epic to ensure seamless patient handoffs and continuity of care
- Handle and label specimens properly to support accurate diagnostics and patient outcomes
- Operate and maintain specialty equipment such as FUJI scopes, ERBE and ION navigation tools
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (anesthesia, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response) to deliver high-quality care
Qualifications
- Active Alaska RN license preferred (AK RN in hand required for Auto Offer); strong preference for in-hand license — pending accepted
- Minimum 1 year of relevant endoscopy/acute care RN experience; First-time travel nurses accepted
- BLS required; ACLS, PALS and SGNA certification preferred
- Experience with endoscopy procedures (EUS, EBUS, ERCP, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, EGD) — scrub and/or circulate
- Comfort with sedation monitoring, airway management and recoveries (conscious sedation and monitored anesthesia care)
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Ability to meet travel assignment requirements (candidate permanent address must be at least 50 miles from facility)
- Patient ratio experience: comfortable working in low nurse-to-patient ratios (1:1–1:2 depending on unit needs)
Education
- Completion of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma or BSN) and active RN licensure
- Certifications: BLS required; ACLS, PALS, SGNA preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Endoscopy procedures: EUS, EBUS, ERCP, Colonoscopy, Bronchoscopy, EGD
- Sedation monitoring and airway management
- Scrub and circulate skills for procedural support
- Specimen handling and labeling best practices
- Epic electronic charting proficiency
- Experience with FUJI scopes, ERBE systems and ION navigation equipment
- Ability to recover patients from monitored anesthesia care and conscious sedation
- Strong interdisciplinary communication and rapid-response collaboration
