Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living to help residents maintain dignity
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility while promoting independence
• Take and record vital signs and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
• Document care accurately and timely to ensure continuity and quality of care
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Active registration or certification in the state of practice as applicable
• Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable assisting with personal care and mobility needs
• Ability to pass standard background checks and required health screenings
• A compassionate, patient-centered attitude and strong teamwork skills

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Foundational knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling
• Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
• Basic understanding of resident rights and person-centered care
• Good communication skills with residents, families, and staff
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
• Teamwork and collaboration within a multidisciplinary care setting
