Roles & Responsibilities

• Oversee hospital-wide operations as a House Supervisor to ensure patient flow and safety
• Coordinate patient placement and bed movement across units for efficient care delivery
• Respond to codes and urgent events, providing leadership and clinical support when minutes matter
• Address and resolve concerns raised by staff, patients, and families throughout the hospital
• Provide on-the-spot supervision and guidance to nursing staff across shifts
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to maintain standards of care and regulatory compliance
• Document events and decisions accurately in the charting system and escalate issues as needed

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum 3+ years supervisory experience in an acute care facility
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification required
• Experience with hospital-wide supervision, patient placement, and bed management
• Comfort working rotating 12-hour day and night shifts
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system preferred

Education

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
• BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical judgment and triage skills in acute care settings
• Proven leadership and team coordination under pressure
• Experience managing bed assignments and patient flow
• Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams and hospital leadership
• Ability to respond calmly and efficiently to codes and emergencies
• Proficient documentation and charting (Cerner experience a plus)
