Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients using age-specific criteria and exercise sound clinical judgment to guide care
• Plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care throughout your shift
• Serve as first assist and scrub for OB procedures when required, supporting safe surgical outcomes
• Provide hands-on neonatal stabilization and coordinate with the team using NRP and STABLE principles
• Document care accurately in MediTech EMR to ensure clear communication and continuity
• Teach, direct, and mentor LPNs, PCTs, and unit secretaries to elevate team performance
• Float between units within your scope, adapting quickly and professionally to changing patient needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide compassionate, family-centered obstetric care

Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license (Nursys verification required)
• Minimum 2 years of obstetrics (OB) experience
• Completed at least one travel nursing assignment
• Active American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
• Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Active S.T.A.B.L.E. certification
• Active Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification
• Ability to function as first assist and scrub OB highly preferred
• Comfortable floating between units and flexible with schedule changes
• Current skills checklist within the last year relevant to OBGYN
