Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) with dignity and respect
- Provide attentive bedside care and monitor residents’ comfort and basic needs
- Record observations and vital signs accurately and communicate changes to the care team
- Support a safe, clean, and compassionate living environment for residents
- Collaborate with nurses and other staff to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
- Prior experience working as a CNA is valued; new grads who are eager to learn are welcome
- Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; a caring attitude goes a long way
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of basic patient care and infection control practices
- Comfortable with safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
- Accurate documentation and charting skills
- Ability to recognize changes in resident condition and escalate appropriately
- Compassionate interpersonal skills and patience when working with older adults
