Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and support the outpatient imaging team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
• Oversee daily staffing, workflows, and resource allocation to meet productivity and budget goals
• Ensure image quality control and enforce department policies and procedures
• Participate in program development and department performance improvement initiatives
• Coach, mentor, and directly supervise lead and senior technologists to foster growth
• Collaborate with nursing, clerical staff, and service engineers to coordinate imaging services
• Act as a liaison between patients, families, physicians, and the care team to resolve issues
• Monitor regulatory compliance and implement required standards and quality improvement actions

Qualifications

• Minimum: 5 years experience as a working Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist in an acute-care setting
• Minimum: 2 years supervisory experience in an acute-care setting
• Desired: 3–5 years prior supervisory/managerial experience
• Current full Certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) issued by the CA Dept of Health Services OR current ARRT license
• Current CPR certification
• Certification in a specialized area (NMTBC, MRI, etc.) is a plus
• Demonstrated leadership ability, strong communication, and effective problem-solving skills

Education

• Associate Degree (or equivalent) in Radiologic Technology or related field

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of radiographic principles, patient positioning, and patient care
• Expertise in image quality control, quality assurance, and radiation safety
• Familiarity with Joint Commission standards, Title 17 & 22, and ACR compliance
• Strong operational and financial awareness to support department objectives
• Ability to train, evaluate, and develop staff; experience with progressive discipline
• Clear, respectful communication and ability to coordinate across departments
