Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living to residents
- Assist with mobility, transfers, bathing, dressing and toileting while promoting resident dignity
- Measure and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
- Document care accurately and timely in resident records
- Help create a safe, clean and comfortable environment for each resident
- Communicate respectfully with residents, families and interdisciplinary team members to support person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable working as part of a team and supporting residents with compassion
- Ability to follow care plans, documentation standards and facility policies
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a CNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience assisting with ADLs and basic patient care
- Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
- Basic infection control and safety practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents and team members
- Reliable time management and documentation habits
